Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited [game]

I HAVE PLAYED EVERY SINGLE DISGAEA GAME. EACH GAME TAKES 60+ HOURS TO BEAT. AND YET I CAN NOT EVEN TELL YOU IF I LIKE DISGAEA OR NOT. PRETTY MUCH NO SERIES HAS THE DEPTH OF CHARACTER LEVELING THAT THESE GAMES DO BUT THEN SINCE YOU CAN BE SO MUCH WILDLY STRONGER THAN THE STORY THERE IS JUST A BUNCH OF SLIDERS TO PICK THE DIFFICULTY OF THE LEVEL AND THAT INEVITABLY MAKES ME NOT CARE SINCE YOU CAN LEVEL UP ALL YOU WANT BUT THEN ALL THE CHALLENGES ARE JUST HITTING A BUTTON TO CLEARLY PICK IF YOU ARE STRONGER OR WEAKER THAN THE ENEMIES. IT EXPOSES THE LEVELING TREADMILL IN A WAY THAT IS TOO IN YOUR FACE AND MAKES THE EXTREMELY DETAILED LEVELING SYSTEM FEEL POINTLESS.

PS. MY FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME IS THAT IN SOME ANIMATION FRAMES THE MAIN CHARACTER'S CAPE WAS RIPPED AND IN SOME IT WASN'T AND FOR SOME REASON I LOVED WATCHING THE ANIMATION CONTINUITY THAT THEY BOTHERED TO ALWAYS SHOW THE CAPE RIPPING APART OR COMING BACK TOGETHER AND NEVER MIXED IT UP. MY LEAST FAVORITE PART WAS THE SUPER UNFUNNY SARDINE JOKES.
