Geek Love [book, audiobook]

Geek Love [book, audiobook]

I THINK I REALLY LIKE THIS BOOK. I'M SURPRISED HOW MUCH I LIKED IT.  IT'S A FICTIONAL STORY ABOUT A FAMILY OF 'CIRCUS FREAKS' AND IT FELT LIKE IT MIGHT BE STUPID OR OFFENSIVE BUT IT ALWAYS SEEMED REALLY GOOD. IT FEELS LIKE THE DIRECTION OF THE STORY CHANGED WILDLY LIKE 30 TIMES BUT IT MOSTLY SUPPORTED IT. ALTHOUGH AT THE END I DO KINDA FEEL LIKE THE AUTHOR GAVE UP ON THE FLASHBACK BACKSTORY PART? LIKE THE CONCLUTION FELT VERY "ELLIE IS GONE, NO WAIT SHE'S BACK, THE CULT IS UHH... BAG MAN... UMM... CHICK IS A SURGEON NOW,  MUMPHO IS A METAPHOR FOR... UHH... UHH... OKAY NEVER MIND THIS IS ALL GONE NOW, BACK TO PRESENT DAY"

PS. I FEEL LIKE THE BEST PART OF THE BOOK IS THAT ARTIEISM IS CLEARLY STUPID AND IT NEVER REALLY MAKES IT SEEM LIKE IT'S GOOD BUT THE BOOK DOES SUCH A GOOD JOB SHOWING WHY SOMEONE WOULD *THINK* IT WAS GOOD. LIKE GOING AT IT FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES WITH MIRANDA AND ARTIEISM AND MS LICKS GIRLS, I 100% CAUGHT MYSELF THINKING "AH, LIKE ARTIEISM" ABOUT THINGS PEOPLE TOLD ME.
